[He has a complete deer-in-the-headlights look. Despite his age, he's never kissed anyone before.]

*This was probably her idea, and she's messing with the answers. And if she can't she's having Tyche do it for her.*

*Anyway, Maya will just sit down in front of him and try not to think about all the people watching.*

He can't help releasing a sigh of frustration.] That's not really important to me...

*Oh yeah, and treating her like a ten year old angers her. Clearly she should just get this over with and while he's looking relieved steal that kiss. He had his chance to do this and decided to be a chicken. She's not too shy about this, and she's hardly inexperienced in this front of physical activity. So this is not some gentle brushing of lips.*

O-Oh... [He rubs the back of his neck, starting to feel a little flustered.] Sorry... The rules weren't that specific...

[And then she completely takes him off-guard with that bold move! A noise of surprise gets trapped in his throat, and all he can do is stumble back. On reflex, his hands reach out to grab a hold of Maya, and he pulls her along with him for the fall.]

[They tumble onto the floor in a mess of limbs, and Akihiko can only think to curse under his breath. With a mild wince, he looks up at Maya, sprawled out on top of him. At least he broke her fall, he realizes in relief.]

Y-You okay?

[Yeah, that... wasn't awkward at all.]

*She was cool with this up until he lost his balance and fell backward... and even then that was kinda funny. She hadn't even realized in untangling limbs she was kind straddling and pinning him to the floor. Not that this really mattered to her too much. She pushed her hair out of her face and adjusted her glasses.*

Fine, normally guys don't fall quite so literally when they're kissed.

*Other than the small cellist sitting on you.*

[He's usually more coordinated than this, really! But then he felt her tongue in his mouth - her tongue was in his mouth! - and that pretty much short-circuited his brain.]

Um... [Akihiko shakes his head, looking mystified.] I-I wouldn't know, so I'll have to take your word for it...

Y-Yeah! [His face is completely red, but that's completely normal!

I, uh... [Words, Aki. Find them!] I just... wasn't expecting it to... be like that...

*Why was he acting so weird, he was acting like-*

*That wasn't a question, she's just trying to figure out how that worked. He was definitely older than her, sure not everyone in high school dated... but there was usually something to lead to kissing. Usually. Plus there was something else she was forgetting, it was important... oh!*

[He nods, and waits for her to get off of him before he sits up. He keeps his eyes averted as he rises to his feet, and once again, rubs the back of his neck in a nervous gesture.]

*She'll just... get off of him now. It's a lot weird, but that's not the best thing to say.*

Rock star? [He blinks and looks at her curiously.] I thought you were a cellist. [And she’s 14 and has more experience than him at this. Yup, he’s definitely the weird one here.

Hmm… I might’ve kissed my parents or my sister when I was a kid, but I didn’t think that’d count. [His fangirls have probably tried to tackle-glomp him too, but Akihiko is good at evading attacks~]

You can go with either, whichever makes the story better. At home I'm in a band and we made third place at the high school battle of the bands. We would have won but some bitch tricked our bassist and stole our song.

Definitely don't count. *She'll awkwardly pause a moment and...* So was it worth waiting? To end up with that as a first kiss? Everything you thought it would be?

*And she's teasing Aki again.*

[Akihiko shakes his head.] It’s not my place to decide. I’ll go with however you identify yourself. [He frowns a little.] Did you report the other band?

Um… I… [Subconsciously, he lifts a hand to graze his lips, as if confirming that they had indeed been kissed just minutes ago.] I-I haven’t really thought about it, to tell you the truth. It was, uh… surprising?

No rule against what they did. Sucks but... Adam dumped their lead singer and punched their drummer in the face. Those at least made me feel better, and I got to sing an original song instead of a cover.

[Akihiko may be dense about some things, but he knows she’s ribbing on him now. Have a deadpan look as he retorts.] Sheesh, I didn’t exactly expect to get Frenched! …At least you knew what you were doing.

We were going to play Superman's Song, which isn't something any of us wrote. She tricked Adam into telling her on a date, so we'd have to come up with a plan B. It is cool that we were the band they were afraid of losing too.

But I wanted to hit her with my cello. For playing with Adam's feelings.

You did fine, and it isn't like you left me much choice. A forehead kiss!? I'm not ten.

[He frowns in disapproval.] Manipulation too? Tch… You should’ve hit her, Maya. Well, outside of school grounds. You wouldn’t wanna get expelled because of a girl like that.

Adam nearly got us disqualified from the competition for punching the drummer. The guy deserved it.

No, it's fine, just not in a game like spin the bottle. This sort of game is about being bold. And a kiss on the forehead is anything but. You're either insulting the person you kiss, or you're declaring yourself wuss.

*Maya knew from the others that Adam was justified in what he did. But it wasn't her's to say.*

Your first time at a lot of things, so I guess I'll forgive you. But realize if you're forced to kiss someone, not kissing them on the lips is saying you don't want to kiss them at all.

...Well, there are things you can do, but if I tell you you might burst a blood vessel in your face.

[Without waiting for her response (because he can be just that impulsive sometimes), Akihiko leans forward and carefully angles his head to the side before pressing their lips together. His gloved hand glides up to hold her cheek, warm leather against bare skin. He isn't quite bold enough to attempt Frenching her in return, but the kiss is slow and soft, tingling with both shyness and earnest effort.]

*Oh. Well, that was... very nice actually. She wasn't really expecting any kiss at all, so this was more than enough to be a good apology. Her hand finds a shoulder blade, palm flat against his back to make sure he doesn't leave before she wants him to.*

*Which she eventually does.*

While that was very nice, what I meant was-

*Cautious look around before she leans in to whisper. There's a tease in her voice, she didn't plan to tell him about this until he kissed her again. Her finger resting on his neck.*
