[Maybe this was a bad idea, but Ryoji was kind of known for those by now. In his defense, it had made sense (in his sleep-deprived state) last night. Minako remembered him, and had told him that they had dated for a while back in her world. Ryoji wanted to remember her, and if they had a romantic connection, how else was he going to have a chance?

So. The next morning, after breakfast, he invited her for a walk, made small talk as they strolled up to the lake... and then suddenly grabbed her by the shoulders and kissed her.

[Minako would rather not be categorized as a 'bad idea,' thank you very much. ♥

But of course she thinks nothing of it when Ryoji asked her to join him for a leisurely stroll to the lake. She didn't talk too much on the way up. After all, it was Minato he remembered, and Minako was starting to notice that those she knew that remembered her as Minato rather than Minako were sometimes put-off by her outgoing nature.

She'd have to take things slow, if she wanted to resume anything remotely similar to what they had before. Don't rush them, taking baby ste--]

Ryoji'd always been bolder than the average boy, but this was shocking, even for him. Did...something happen?]

[He keeps the kiss going for a moment, before realizing that Minako seems to have tensed up. Was he wrong...? Maybe she didn't have as close a relationship with him as he had expected.

Or maybe after learning what he was, she had broken up with him. Maybe she didn't want anything to do with him anymore.

He takes a few steps backward, breaking away from her and hastily putting up his wall again. See? He's still smiling; don't worry about him. It was just silly old Ryoji doing something stupid again, wasn't it?]

[She'd tensed, but somehow, in all the surprise, she hasn't pulled away. It was a familiar touch, a taste she'd encountered a few times before but had never since been able to replicate. For as forceful as the gesture was, Ryoji's lips were soft, and she could feel energy behind them - what he assumed was life, for once...]

.... [She followed him with a bewildered stare as he forcefully separated from her, her mouth agape. Feelings once reconciled started to stir awake from deep slumber, and it was the smile that followed from the boy's face that summoned forth the tears.
